Terryspring Court on Southmead Crescent, sent out the appeal to the home’s residents, staff members and their family and friends.
Zoe Hopkins, scheme manager at Terryspring Court, said: “We thought it would be a good to give something back as the Salvation Army give up their time for our residents every other week by providing a church service.
“The organisation was very grateful when we handed over the food.
“Hopefully it will make a difference to many people at Christmas time who are less fortunate than us.”
