Redditch bins collection to change over Christmas period

Redditch Editorial 18th Dec, 2019   0

REDDITCH residents are being advised to double check when to put their bins out over the Christmas and New Year period.

Collections usually due on Wednesday, December 25 will now be collected on December 23 instead.

Those due on Thursday, December 26 will now be collected on December 28.

And the Wednesday, January 1 collection will instead be collected on December 30.

Guy Revans, head of environmental services at Redditch Borough Council, said: “We’ve had to make some changes to the collections because of the bank holidays, but we hope it does not cause too much disruption to residents.

“If we cannot get to you on your collection day because of ice or snow, please still leave your bin out.

“We will return as soon possible and will issue regular advice on our website and social media.”

Residents are also reminded to put their bin out by 7am on their day of collection, as on occasion it is necessary for the crew to change their route.
