THE budget put forward by the Police and Crime Commissioner of Warwickshire has been approved by members of the Warwickshire Police and Crime Panel.
The approved budget will deliver a further 41 police officers, more Special Constables, extra resources for teams working with vulnerable victims and tackling child exploitation and trafficking, a new force control room, improved forensic services, more warranted officers, extra finance to increase the number of Independent Sexual Violence Advisors.
To pay for these, the police precept will increase by around £1.25 a month for an average Band D household. Those in lower value households will pay proportionately less and those in higher value homes will pay proportionately more.
The exact budget figures are subject to final confirmation of Warwickshire’s share of national policing funding.
