Ready for your close-pup? retirement village to join Ragley Hall Game Fair with pet themed photography competition

A RETIREMENT village is joining the Ragley Hall Game Fair with pet themed photography competition.

Visitors will be given the opportunity to have their photograph taken with their pet and write a short statement about why they think theirs is the best.

Their picture will be hung on the wall of “pug-shots” and put on social media for others to vote on the best furry companion, with the winner receiving a “paw-trait” of their pet.

Richmond Villages in Evesham is partnering with The Cinnamon Trust to bring the competition to the fair and to host a dog show in September.

The Cinnamon Trust is a charity that helps elderly people to look after their pets for longer.

The charity also has a team of volunteers who help with the day-to-day care of pets and they work to rehome bereaved pets after the owners die.

Chris Hill, village manager at Richmond Villages said: “We are delighted to be involved in Ragley Hall Game Fair and to be partnered with The Cinnamon Trust.

“We want our competition to encourage people to celebrate their furry friends and to showcase what their companion means to them.

“At Richmond Villages, we know how important pets are to people. They aren’t just animals: they’re part of the family. They offer a vital form of companionship, particularly for the elderly who often suffer from loneliness.

“That’s why all of our Villages are pet-friendly. We’re always delighted to welcome pets to our Villages along with our residents. It’s important that people are able to enjoy that special bond for as long as they can, and we are proud to be able to help people to do that.”

Richmond Villages Wood Norton will have a stall at Ragley Hall Game Fair 29th-31st July 2022.
