AN Indian restaurant in Redditch will be giving away free curries to any children aged between four and 16-years-old from tomorrow.
Kind-hearted staff at Rasoi Cottage, based on Castleditch Lane, said the decision was ‘not about politics’ but instead ‘doing their part to help’.
It comes after the Government’s decision on Wednesday to not extend free meals over school holidays.
A spokesperson at Rasoi said: “Any child can come between 4pm to 6pm from Saturday, October 24 to Sunday, November 1 (eight days in total) to collect a free chicken or vegetarian curry with rice or chips.
“Just turn up in a safe manner with an adult (if you are very young) and we will support you.
“Please spread the word. This literally may be a lifesaver for some.
“And if you are a business owner please do consider doing this yourself – we have to help each other during these very difficult times.”
