A RAPID Redditch runner has achieved her tenth marathon at The Abbey Stadium where she attends weekly Marathon Kids sessions.
Lexie Tedstone, who is just eight, reached the epic milestone of 1,055 times around the track within a 12-month period through the sessions and with walks and runs with her parents.
Lexie said she wanted to compete at cross country when she was older and her next challenge was to run the length of England which is just over 16 marathons.
Lexie hopes to encourage other children to get involved with their parents to have fun and stay healthy.
Marathon Kids Redditch, in association with Kingfisher Shopping Centre and run by volunteers, meets every Saturday morning at 9.30am at The Abbey Stadium track.
Children run for a 20-minute period, logging the laps as they go.
Prizes and certificates are awarded at each milestone with a medal awarded for a marathon.
