THE deadline is fast approaching to get your entry in for Redditch Has Talent 2022.
Back after two years missed due to the pandemic, organisers are braced for a last minute rush of entries.
“Redditch Has Talent is going very well but the deadline is fast approaching so get your entries in before Saturday, March 19!”‘ said producer Maria Brannelly.
“Some of our applicants from 2020 have returned and we have had a steady stream of new talent applying.
“We are expecting a last minute flurry as the deadline approaches!”
This year there will be a £250 first prize as part of the Judges’ Overall Choice Award and the Dave Wilkins MBE Shield will be awarded for outstanding performance.
Other arts groups in the town are also interested in providing further prizes.
Maria and her husband Mark, a former professional guitarist, visited Bromsgrove Rock School last month for a morning of live auditions. “Bromsgrove Rock School are long time supporters of Redditch Has Talent and it was great to see and hear all the brilliant work they do with their youngsters,” said Maria.
“Four bands auditioned from juniors through to seniors and they now have to wait until all live auditions have been completed – by the end end of April – before they get the results.
Anyone can enter Redditch Has Talent from Year 5 upwards and it’s easy to apply – just fill in the online form on Palace Theatre website and upload a short video of you and your act.
Successful applicants will then be invited to live auditions at the Palace Theatre Studio.
If local schools and organisations would prefer to book a visit and host a live audition they can request this on the same form.
Just apply before the closing date of March 19 and entrants have until the end of April to complete their live audition. Visit: https://www.redditchpalacetheatre.co.uk/redditch-has-talent/
