Police raid Redditch home after suspected class A drugs

POLICE from Redditch Safer Neighbourhood Team raided a property on Sanders Close this morning  (August 4).

Officers acquired a warrant for the address after receiving intelligence about the supply of drugs.

No-one was located at the address but there was evidence of a previous cannabis set-up which has been seized by officers.

Insp Richard Field from Redditch SNT said: “Drugs blight our community and impact on people’s quality of life.

“This is the second drugs warrant we’ve carried out in a few weeks, sending a clear message that I won’t allow the supply of drugs in our community.

“Redditch is a safe, vibrant town and we want to keep it this way.

“We can’t let a small minority of people spoil it for the majority, who expect and deserve a decent quality of life.”

There is a warrant out for the arrest of a man living at the Sanders Close property an investigations are ongoing.
