POLICE in Redditch were directing traffic as the town’s two McDonalds drive-thru takeaways re-opened for business following the lockdown.
Long queues formed at the Oakenshaw site with people hungering for their bite of the Golden Arches waiting patiently to be served.
The American giant said it was opening all 924 of its drive-thru outlets between today and Thursday, June 4.
A reduced menu was on offer with no breakfasts, wraps or milkshakes served and customers are being asked to limit their spending to £25 and make contactless payments.
The town’s KFC outlets, one at the Trafford Retail Park and the other close to McDonalds, opened a few weeks ago.
