No more locks down - Bella Barba set to give customers a trim

Redditch Editorial 4th Jul, 2020   0

THE owner of Bella Barba says he cannot wait to open his doors today, July 4 and give his clientele their long-awaited trims.

Haider Alsohaini has worked hard during lockdown to make sure his Evesham Road barbers is both safe and enjoyable for when customers arrive.

Staff will use disposable gowns and towels while wearing PPE to mitigate the threat of coronavirus spreading.

Chairs will be distanced two metres apart and only four customers will be allowed in Bella at any one time.

Other customers who arrive early will have to wait outside until a chair, which also needs to be sterilised first, becomes available.

Mr Alsohaini said: “It’s been a long time without seeing any of my clients so I’m really excited.

“We love what we do here, it’s not about the money, it’s all for the love of cutting hair and having that interaction.”

The community has already rallied behind Mr Alsohaini, with appointments booked up for the next four weeks.

“We won’t be able to do as many customers as we did before the pandemic but it will be great to be back,” he added.

Bella Barba will be open seven days a week for the next two weeks before returning to six days a week.

It will be open between 9pm and 6pm but staff say they are willing to stay longer on some days.
