Movie music concert plan to raise vital cash for Ukraine refugees

FECKENHAM Village Hall is spearheading a fundraising effort in aid of the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal in classical style.

The first event will be a spectacular concert featuring Fordante, a mini-orchestra directed by an international film composer on Sunday, April 10 at 7.30pm.

Following this, Saturday, April 16 will see a ‘Recycle for Refugees’ sale from 1pm to 4pm and on April 23, Shakespeare’s birthday, the Hall will be serving The Great FeckenBreakfast from 8.30am to 12.30pm and all for the same Ukraine Appeal.

First up are the award-winning Fordante, who, under the baton of Phil Mountford, will be performing A Night at the Movies in the village on on April 10.




And they’re promising tunes from Love Actually, Slumdog Millionaire, Braveheart, Ladies in Lavender, Lord of The Rings and more to keep the audience happy.

Not only that but the concert will include projected visuals and computer controlled lighting, all presented in a light hearted and entertaining manner.


It’s sure to be another spellbinding concert from this mini orchestra and suitable for absolutely anyone who enjoys music – not just for classical aficionados!

All proceeds will be given to the DEC Ukrainian Humanitarian Appeal
