THERE’S more success at St Augustine’s Catholic High School after pupils achieved almost 100 grade 9 scores in their GCSEs.
Following on from a good set of A-level results last week, the school says its year 11 pupils are a grade above the ‘Progress 8’ score, which is the government’s measure for progress.
A staggering 30 per cent of pupils achieved grades 9 to 7 and 76 per cent achieved five GCSE grades at 9 to 5.
Headteacher Gerald O’Connor said: “I am really pleased for our students and very proud of their achievements.
“A great credit is due to them, the teaching staff for their hard work and parents/carers for their ongoing support.
“These truly excellent results give the students a robust foundation on which to move into our outstanding Sixth Form to embark on their post-16 studies.”
