A NATIONAL charity is urging young men in Redditch to ‘Keep it Real’ on Wednesday (October 7) as part of National Personal Safety Day.
Launched by the Suzy Lamplugh Trust, this year’s event focuses on young men as they are twice as likely than women to become a victim of violent crime from a stranger.
Young men are encouraged to stay alert, understand the risks, avoid speaking on their phone or wearing headphones while out alone and to stay legal by not carrying a weapon or pepper spray.
