Medals, T-shirts and more as the Seco Alcester 10k gets ready to run

THE Seco Alcester 10k run returns for its fourth year next Sunday, October 7 and is likely to attract more than 600 runners and families to support them.

Along the way they’ll be raising money for charity.

Alcester cutting tool specialist Seco Tools has shown great support for the run signing an

agreement with promoters Raceways Events to be the headline sponsor for the fourth year




running.

They join other race day sponsors Sanders and Sanders Estates, 5 a day Alcester,


Arden Fitness, Grenade, Hogans Cider, Erdinger, The Turks Head and Your Race Day

photography.

Seco Tools UK MD Richard Jelfs, said he was delighted to team up with Raceways again to contribute to the Alcester community.

“Having been located in Alcester ever since the company was first established in 1964, we

take our corporate social responsibilities seriously, and our staff can always be counted

upon to help the vulnerable and the disadvantaged, and to lend their support to worthy

cause.”

The race will start at 10am and finish in Alcester and the route passes through Walcote and Great Alne.

Entries are still open with all runners receiving chip timing, bespoke finishers’ medals, technical T-shirt, post race snacks and race photography as well as some Hogans cider and Erdinger alcohol free lager along the way for those that fancy it.

As with all of Raceways events there is a free to enter 1km kids fun run organised by their charity Kids Run Free where all children receive a medal. Either pre-register or go along on the day before 11.40am to take part.

Raceways Events is a locally based community interest company and its profits are used to support the charity Kids Run Free which provides free running events for children across the country.
