Master mechanic Des ready to get bikes rolling for Christmas

‘I’LL build your bike – and store it until Christmas Day’ – that’s the festive offer from De Sequoyah of the Studley Bicycle Repair Centre.

Des is celebrating a successful first year in business and in that time has seen a steady increase in bikes bought online or from major retailers that need to be set up properly.

“Bikes can be fairly sophisticated machines these days and if you want it to go well from day one it’s well worth making sure everything is working smoothly,” said Des, who served in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and knows pushbikes inside out.

“And if you’ve ordered a bike and are struggling for a space to store it until Christmas, I can do that too,” he said.

The boom in cycling sparked by the push for greener travel as well as the obvious health benefits of going by bike has seen a surge in people taking to two wheels.

The Studley Bicycle Repair Centre also sells a wide range of spares, trick bits and lights. For more details visit it online or call in to the shop on Studley High Street.
