A MAN was taken to hospital this morning after a serious crash at Junction 2 of the M42.
The incident, not far from Hopwood Services, happened around 6am.
One ambulance was sent to the scene where crews found two patients – the man was taken to Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital with injuries not thought to be serious.
Another man was assessed by West Midlands Ambulance Service paramedics but did not need treatment and was discharged at the scene.
Three lanes of the northbound carriageway were closed initially while Highways England officers cleared the debris and ensured the motorway was clear.
