THE renowned Alcester Male Voice Choir is on the look out for new recruits.
Under the guidance of their founder and Director of Music, Judith Land BEM, the choir returned to full time rehearsals last September, following strict Covid Government guidelines ensuring a safe environment for members to return to singing in.
Now they are busy rehearsing for their annual concert which will be in Pershore Abbey on April 2.
At the same time the choir are actively looking for new members.
“Our members returned to rehearsals with great enthusiasm and are once again enjoying the hobby they love,” said Judith.
“We already have concerts booked for the rest of this year.
“We are constantly looking for new members and four have joined since we returned, but we are looking for more.
“Choirs have experienced a surge in popularity and the benefits of singing are well documented.”
She added: “It can be daunting joining a well established group, but there are no embarrassing auditions, you don’t have to be able to read music and there is help and guidance every step of the way.
“All we ask is that members commit to the regular rehearsals on Wednesday evenings at the Eric Payne Centre in St Faiths Road, Alcester.”
