A DRIVER had a lucky escape after a crash on the M42 this morning which left a car down an embankment.
Fire crews from Redditch and Bromsgrove attended the incident which happened at 8am and involved just one vehicle careering of the carriageway between Junction 2 (Hopwood) and Junction 3 (Portway).
Firefighters helped the man out of the car and he was lifted on a stretcher by West Midlands Ambulance paramedics up the bank.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said one ambulance and a paramedic officer were sent to the scene.
“We’ve treated a man for injuries not believed to be serious and he was conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham for further treatment.”
