HISTORY is all about times past and on Tuesday, December 18, local horologist Matthew Butler will bring the study of time itself alive at a special presentation for Studley Local History Society.
Matthew’s history of horology will include two short films; one of a Rolex he worked on with a time lapse camera taking a picture every five seconds and one of an autometer he brought back to life a few years back.
He will have some tools to talk about, some of which are over 100 years old and yes he still uses them.
The latest edition of the Studley Historian, now in colour, will be on sale at £1 each.
The talk is at 8.15pm at the Parish Centre off Needle Close – members £2, guest £3.
