CHRISTMAS hasn’t been cancelled at St Peter’s Ipsley where the congregation are still celebrating their annual Christingle service.
“Christingle is a joyful celebration that brings families and communities together to share the light of Jesus and spread a message of hope,” said Sue Johnson from St Peter’s.
“It’s a centuries old Moravian tradition that reflects the light of Jesus coming into the world. Now, more than ever, we must shine the light for those living in the darkest situations.”
The annual Christingle/ nativity service is suitable for all ages and will be streamed live on Sunday, December 13 on Youtube at 10.30am and will then be available on the St Peters Youtube page to use at any time.
“If you want to make a Christingle before this service, then instructions can be downloaded from St Peter’s’ website (https://www.ipsley.org/st-peters/)” said Sue.
Alternatively people can leave a message at the church office on 01527 516351 before Thursday, December 10 and they will try to deliver a pack to residents.
Money raised by the Christingle will go to the Children’s Society.
