A LITTER pick at Woodrow and Greenlands Community Orchard in association with Redditch Rubbish Friends resulted a huge haul of litter – and quite a few shopping trolleys in just two hours.
Redditch’s newest community orchard – planted just last month – has got off to a flying start and already local children from St Thomas More First School and Woodrow First School have been busy designing posters to push home the anti-litter message.
The town already has a community orchard at Headless Cross and one at the Abbey Stadium and it is hoped that this latest one, the first on the south side of town, will become a place of learning and enjoyment for all the community.
