THE Kingfisher Shopping Centre was evacuated this afternoon after a fire alarm was triggered.
Kingfisher bosses said there wasn’t actually a fire, or any danger, but that standard protocols needed to be followed.
A spokesperson told the Standard: “As always our priority is the safety of all our guests. We would like to reassure visitors that there is no cause for concern.
“The local fire service attended the site as per standard protocol. The situation has now returned to normal and essential stores within the centre have reopened.”
