Join Street Beats in Redditch for some great free entertainment

Redditch Editorial 23rd Jul, 2021   0

WE’VE all be starved of live music for the past 16 months but now live music is lighting up Redditch town centre thanks to the Street Beats initiative.

The brainchild of Redditch BID and organised by the fabulous Indigo Arts, there a great selection of music on show around Church Green, and the top of Unicorn Hill and Alcester Street to delight.

Street Beats features not one but five key locations with a selection of artists busking away and knocking out some great tunes.

They are there to entertain and will be in concert every Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 3.30pm concluding on Sunday, August 1.

Not only that, but they’ll be entertaining shoppers for all of the last week of July.

Leigh Walton, a member of the Redditch Business Improvement District board said: “Redditch is a fantastic town and we hope that all those who live in or near Redditch will see this as an exciting opportunity to enjoy some first-class entertainment that will get people literally dancing in the streets!

“The past 18 months have been incredibly difficult, so we’re really hoping this will give residents of Redditch a much-needed lift.

As Louis Armstrong once said, ‘Music is life itself’, so as life returns to (almost) normal, we urge people to come and join us in breathing new life into Redditch town centre.”

Established in 2019, Redditch BID aims to support local businesses by improving the local trading environment. For the latest BID news visit www.redditchbid.co.uk.
