It's great outdoors: New fitness plaza opens at Abbey Stadium

Redditch Editorial 22nd Jan, 2022   0

A NEW state-of-the-art AREA7 outdoor fitness plaza is now open at Redditch’s Abbey Stadium.

Four new high intensity interval training (HIIT) classes are now available at the venue, suitable for beginners and elite athletes alike to build performance and lose weight.

AREA7, named for its seven functional movements, fully opened its doors earlier this month.

Customers can join AREA7 Gladiators each Monday at 7.15pm, there’s a double dose on Thursdays with functional fitness at 5.30pm and bootcamp at 7pm, and then there’s extreme functional fitness on Fridays at 9.15am.

Jo Dudley from Abbey Stadium said: “We’re delighted to offer these new classes for more exhilarating workouts here at Abbey Stadium.

“People are telling us that they are really enjoying the open air of AREA7, which of course is covered to shelter us from the rain but has open sides – what’s not to like?”

The new classes among AREA7’s rigs, rowers, ski ergs, concept bikes, sled track, slam balls, plyometric boxes, battle ropes, and olympic bars are now open to members and non-members alike.
