Inspire offer Redditch parents 30 minute slots to collect free Christmas gifts

STRUGGLING families in need of a bit of help this Christmas will be able to collect free gifts from Inspire CIC next week.

Private slots are being organised for December 8 and 9 for parents or carers who want to have a browse at the new and used items on offer.

These include children toys, clothes, shoes and household items.

Manager of Inspire, Karen Butler, said: “It doesn’t matter why they are struggling, this is for anyone.”

“It could be loss of income, furlough, or anything – we won’t ask for proof.

“We just hope people who aren’t struggling won’t abuse our offer.”

Karen added that people shouldn’t feel embarrassed visiting Inspire for help, as each 30 minute slot will be private, giving people enough time to look around undisturbed.

The gifts have been donated by various people and businesses in the community, including Redditch Morrisons.

“Morrrisons have sent so much stuff; chocolates, selection boxes and any toys which they have had donated,” said Karen.

If you are interested in booking a slot at the Winyates Craft Centre CIC email [email protected] or message the group on Facebook.
