REDDITCH MP Rachel Maclean has launched a competition to find Redditch’s best South Asian restaurant to enter Parliament’s prestigious Tiffin Cup competition.
Celebrating its 15th anniversary, the Tiffin Cup seeks to promote the importance of South Asian restaurants in the UK.
Redditch has a winning track record too with Redolence Spice on Unicorn Hill triumphing in 2018 after being nominated by Mrs Maclean.
Redolence Spice was the first restaurant from the West Midlands to win the prestigious title.
Now she is hoping a Redditch restaurant or takeaway will once again put the town on the culinary map as the Tiffin Cup returns after a two-year break.
Local residents can nominate their favourite Redditch South Asian restaurant by sending an email to [email protected].
They should give the name of the restaurant or takeaway and briefly set out why it’s a worthy candidate to compete in the Tiffin Cup.
All nominations should be received no later than 5pm on Thursday, November 18.
Once all nominations have been received one will be selected enter the competition.
“Redolence Spice has already put Redditch on the culinary map by winning the Tiffin Cup in 2018, and I hope our town will be successful once again,” said Mrs Maclean.
