CHILDREN from Holyoakes Field First school donned hard hats and high-visibility jackets at a new development in Redditch.
The Year 3 pupils were taking a closer look at the forthcoming Milward Place Retirement Living site on Clive Road.
Under the guidance of developer McCarthy and Stone, the children were able to learn about the importance of staying safe on a construction site.
They were also able to test out their brick laying skills.
Mrs Carol Newton, head teacher at Holyoakes Field First School, commented: “The children thoroughly enjoyed their visit to Milward Place and found it very informative.
“It was great to get the children thinking about safety in and around building sites in such an engaging way.”
