Halloween is coming to Studley - complete with ‘Spooky Trail’ for children

HALLOWEEN is coming to Studley – complete with ‘Spooky Trail’ for children, pumpkin carving and an online fancy dress competition – and it’s all for a good cause.

Helping to pull it all together is local mum and chair of Studley in Business Sian Smith who has recruited local firms to play their part in the initiative.

“Given the current pandemic we knew we couldn’t have children wandering around at night knocking on people’s doors but at the same time we felt it was important they have something to look forward in this most difficult of years,” said Sian.

The Studley Spooky Trail was the result involving 12 local businesses each with a letter which children have to collect.

Once they have the lot, they just need to put them all together and upload the answer to the event’s Facebook page.

There will also be a Studley Pumpkin Trail around the village and for both children and adults a spooky fancy dress competition, with photos once again uploaded to the site.

“It’s going to run throughout half term for one week, finishing on November 1 and we hope loads of people will take part,” said Sian.

It’s all for a good cause too, the baby loss charity The Lily Mae Foundation.
