Going to the Redditch bike race? Diamond is just the ticket home

Redditch Editorial 6th May, 2018   0

AS cycle fever hits Redditch again this month with the Tour Series Cycle Race returning to the town on Thursday, May 10, Diamond Bus will be once again supporting the event by offering free travel home to race-supporters.

This year Diamond will again provide late night services on selected routes to help those who have been enjoying the days activities get home at the end of the event.

Special services will operate from Redditch Bus Station after the race event closes until as late as 10.15pm.

These services will also be operated free of charge by Diamond.

Members of the Diamond Bus team will be joining in the celebrations during the day with a stand in the event village at Church Green where you can pick up lots of Diamond Bus goodies.

The Tour Series Cycle Race has become an important part of the Redditch events calendar and Diamond are proud to support the event by offering local supporters free travel home.

Selected free late night services and departure times from the bus station are:

No 51 to Batchley: 20:40, 21:10, 21:40, 22:10

No 57 to Matchborough & Winyates: 21:30, 22:00

No 58 to Winyates & Matchborough: 21:45, 22:15

Note free travel applies to the extra journeys listed above only. Earlier normal scheduled services are subject to normal Diamond bus fares.

The above extra services will depart from Redditch Bus Station and are drop-off services only.

Diamond Bus services will also be diverted around Redditch town centre for the full duration of the race day and passengers are advised to catch services at the Bus Station on the day. Full details of service diversions can be found on individual service pages.
