Going live - all invited as Studley on the Map website gets ready to launch

COMMUNITY groups, businesses, local organisations and residents are all being invited to really put ‘Studley on the Map’ at a special coffee morning event.

Organised by the Studley on the Map group, which raised more than £38,000 to do just that in a crowdfunding drive, it will give local people an opportunity to take a look at the new website promoting the village – www.enjoyablystudley.co.uk – and give businesses and organisations the opportunity to be featured on it for free.

“We’ve been working hard on the website and the idea is to promote everything that’s going on in Studley and as a destination and a place to visit,” said Sian Smith from the group.

We are inviting community groups, businesses, in fact anyone who wants to be featured on the site to come along and make sure they are listed.”

She added that listings for all organisations and businesses in the village would be free with an enhanced feature carrying a fee.

The new website will also feature an out and about section, an events diary and highlight village attractions and the heritage trail.

Sian added: “A further chunk of the money is being spent on signage and we have lots of positive news on that too.”

The Studley on the Map coffee morning will be at Four Acres in Archer Close on Wednesday, February 27 from 11am to 1pm.

As an extra incentive the Co-op in Studley will be providing cakes, tea and coffee will be available and the website will be available to view on a smart TV.
