A FUNDRAISING show at the Palace Theatre in aid of the British Red Cross to help with their efforts in Ukraine proved a resounding success – raising £3,600 for the cause.
Held on Sunday, May 1, ‘Hand in Hand with Ukraine’, organised by local company Valkyrie Events saw the audience wowed by the circus performers, bedazzled by a fire performer, and stunned by a range of fantastic singers.
Liz Sifford and Ryan Nelson, directors of Valkyrie Events, said they’d like to extend a huge thank you to all of those who helped out with the event including performers, backstage helpers, technicians, theatre staff and volunteers, local companies for prize donations, Rubicon Leisure and The Palace Theatre for the use of the building, and of course – the audience who supported the evening.
