Fundraiser set up to support Redditch family who suffered devastating house fire

A FUNDRAISER has been set up to support the family who suffered a devastating fire in their Redditch home last Sunday.

The blaze broke out at a property on Lilac Close in the early hours of the morning.

The brother of one of the family members, who all remain in hospital, has created a Go Fund Me page to support his loved ones during this awful time.

He said: “The fire has taken everything they owned. We are in touch with the local council for rehoming as the previous house, if repairable, will be months away.

“While no amount of money can mend the scars they will carry forward – taking the burden away will help.

“Right now they need loose fitting adults clothes and loose fitting teenagers clothes to wear in the hospital.

“Money will always help regardless of how small; this will go towards anything we do not get donated to us.

“Their home and belongings have all been destroyed so if anyone has household items in the form of donations they would also be most welcome once they have a new house to go into.”

The family are unable to store household items at this time so all items must be kept with the donor until further notice.
