Four arrested after police officer was injured in Wythall

FOUR men have been arrested after a police officer was injured on Three Oaks Road in Wythall yesterday.

An 18-year-old was arrested on suspicion of assault.

A 20-year-old was held on suspicion of assault and failing to stop when directed

A 22-year-old was arrested on suspicion of assault, failing to stop, dangerous driving and attempted theft of a vehicle




And a 28-year-old was held on suspicion of assault, aggravated vehicle taking and dangerous driving.

It follows an incident where a police officer was dragged 70 yards by a car which was then driven off.
