FLOWERS and bouquets have been laid at Guinness Close by distraught friends, neighbours and heartbroken residents following the fatal stabbing of popular musician Colton Bryan.

Many carried personal messages to the saxophonist who had played before thousands of people at the 2018 Morton Stanley Festival.

One read: “Rest in peace, Colton. Remembering the times we shared today. You were kind, ambitious and always supportive of others.”

Local photographer Tony Banks, who pictured Colton at Morton Stanley, said: “He was a nice guy and a fantastic saxophonist.

“The music community is a tight-knit one in Redditch and you just never expect anything like this to happen here.”

Colton died on Wednesday evening, July 15 . Police arrested a man the following day on suspicion of murder and he is currently in custody.
