Family fun rolling in

A DOSE of family fun will be on offer at this year’s Green Fair.

The Arrow Valley Park event is set to be bigger and better as it features a contest between local cadet groups on Sunday, June 29.

From 11am until 5pm army, navy, air force and fire service cadets will compete in the main arena for a special Lions trophy after Redditch Lions Club teamed up with Redditch Borough Council to organise the event.

Pony rides, face painting, woodland crafts, circus skills, laser clay shooting, reptiles, as well as music and dancers are just a few of the activities set to return for the thirteenth year.

The free event will also see an inflatable assault course run by the army, as well as rare classic and new cars.

Community stalls, food and refreshments will be available throughout the day.

Coun Phil Mould, responsible for leisure and tourism on the council, said: “This year’s Green Fair is being billed as another family fun extravaganza and I’m sure it will be a good day out.”
