MUSIC fans young and old are invited to an afternoon of live performances and fundraising at the revamped Why Not Inn pub this Saturday, July 27.
The family-friendly event, ‘WhyFest 2019’, will be headlined by bands Back in the Game, Insomniacs and Keep me Posted.
Local talent Phil Barton, Xavier Reeves and Wychwood Folk Rock will also be performing while guests enjoy the outside bar and BBQ food.
Money raised from the event, which runs from 1pm to 9pm, will be donated to the Primrose Hospice.
Sarah Pert, co-owner of the Astwood Bank pub, said: “We were keen on finding local charities we could support.
“Primrose was the one that jumped out to us immediately because of the fantastic work it does.”
Primrose Hospice, based on St Godwalds Road, Bromsgrove, must raise £1.75million annually to keep its services free for people with life-limited conditions and their families.
Primrose’s community fundraiser Sarah Harris said: “The Why Not Inn is a gorgeous location for a summer festival, and we are so grateful for its kind support.
“What better way to enjoy the weekend than relaxing with friends while listening to talented performers and supporting your local hospice.
“We hope everyone enjoys the event, and please don’t forget to tag us in your pictures on social media!”
