THE team from Litter Free Alcester (LFA) will be taking part in the Keep Britain Tidy Big Spring Clean campaign this Saturday, March 23, from 10am to 1pm.

The starting point for the Spring Clean will be the Jubilee Centre, (off St Faiths Road) in Alcester.

Chairman of LFA, Susan Juned, said: “This is our fifth annual Spring Clean and we want it to be the biggest clean of the town yet.

“Everyone is welcome to join us.

“We will provide all the equipment needed.

“We even have litter picking sticks suitable for children to use.

“This year’s campaign will not only see litter being removed from the environment on our doorstep, we are also aiming to recycle any plastic bottles and aluminium drinks cans that we find.

“We will work with Stratford on Avon District Council to ensure that as much as possible of the litter collected is recycled.”
