THE next steps of a feasibility study to regenerate the town centre and how services are accessed by the community in Redditch, have been taken.
DragonGate Market Intelligence, a leading light in understanding redesign of major developments, has been commissioned by Redditch Borough Council.
It’s part of a Council study to look into the possibilities of regeneration and the creation of a community hub.
“Some of town’s assets are underused or in need of replacement,” said Councillor David Bush, the borough’s executive board member for economic regeneration.
“So as part of our plans we are looking at creating a Community Hub which will offer services to customers and the community in one place.
“It’s a massive scheme and could have implications for our partners, including the Police and County Council, and beyond, so it’s important all options are researched and evaluated.”
DragonGate is carrying out a study looking at site options and the future needs for services.
Once this has been completed then a business case will be submitted to Council in the spring.
