IT WAS a case of e-bike to the future in Studley last Friday when a demonstration of two new e-cargo bikes was given to interested onlookers.
They are part of a scheme introduced by Stratford District Council which is offering interested businesses and organisations free use of the machines for up to six months.
The aim is to encourage people away from the internal combustion engine and into cleaner, greener forms of travel for local deliveries.
Easy to handle and offering a range of 50 to 60 miles the e-cargo trike can handle a 100kg payload while the e-cargo bike can take 50kg – just the job with petrol prices skyrocketing.
The day was also a taster for the forthcoming eco-inspired festival planned for Studley from June 18 to July 2 which promises lots of initiatives for a greener, environmentally friendlier future.
