A ROCK superstar swung by his home village of Hollywood after presenting prizes at this year’s inaugural Birmingham Music Awards.
Duran Duran legend John Taylor took a cheeky midnight snap of himself at Simon Road in the street where he grew up before becoming world famous in the 1980s’ biggest band.
John, whose band-mate Nick Rhodes also hails from Hollywood, posted the picture on the group’s Instagram page after making the nostalgic trip.
The bass-playing legend, currently on the Paper Gods tour with Duran Duran, who are famous for hits The Reflex, Rio, Save A Prayer and Ordinary World, was a former pupil at The Abbey High School (now Trinity High School) in Redditch.
The Standard reported in 2012 how John was Trinity’s guest of honour when he officially opened a £200,000 music suite.
