MOTORISTS in Redditch are being urged to ‘Think Bike’ in a bid to improve road safety for everyone.

Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police, together with the Safer Roads Partnership, are reminding road users to ‘THINK BIKE’ during the National Motorcycle Week of Action (Aug 28 TO September 3).

The annual campaign to reduce motorcycle-related crashes and casualties is running across Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire.

Over the past three years in Warwickshire and West Mercia 535 people have been either killed or seriously injured in crashes involving motorcycles.

As well as encouraging everyone to share the road responsibly, yellow signage promoting messages such as ‘Think Bike’, ‘Ride Safely’ and ‘Check Your Mirrors for Bikes’ have been placed in spots where collisions have occurred over the past three years.
