A MULTI-cultural family fun day organised by the Redditch Muslim Community Association (RMCA) to celebrate the varied cultures of the town and raise money for local causes proved a tremendous success.

Held on Sunday at the Redi Centre, people from different faiths and cultures came together to enjoy multi-cultural performances, stalls and food from around the world.

The event was opened by Karen Lumley MP and attended by a number of local councillors, including Coun Bill Hartnett, the leader of Redditch Borough Council, and John Campion, the new Police and Crime Commissioner for West Mercia. The raffle was drawn by the Mayor of Redditch, Coun Joe Baker.

There was Dhol drumming, dancing to Disney tunes with Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse and Winnie the Pooh, a dance show from the Polish community and much more making for a fun day for everyone
