A NEW children’s play area has been officially opened in the Crook Lane Recreational Ground in Studley.
It features new play equipment for children under nine-years-old paid for by the Studley Parish Council.
The aim was to create a place where children had the opportunity to enjoy being outside, keep active and be in a safe environment.
The enclosed play area was officially opened by youngsters Paige, Amelia, Dexter & Beatrix whose parents have helped the Council to research and source the right play equipment for the facility.
A total of £40,802.23 was spent on the new play equipment and installation with the council also spending £11,076.10 to refurbish the existing tarmac paths and create a new path to the play area.
The play equipment will give young children the opportunity to enjoy being outside, keeping active and provide a safe environment for the children to play.
