YOUNGSTERS are always happy to share their passions and for one Alvechurch schoolgirl, a love of pens and paper has left her with something to write home about.

Beatrice Iles, aged six from Alvechurch, has become a Maped Helix ‘Back to School Tester’ following a national social media search.

The Facebook competition called upon creative schoolchildren across the UK to send in a short video of themselves to the stationery giant, Maped Helix, explaining their love of all things pens, pencils and highlighters.

Beatrice, did just that and her video earned her a place as a finalist and £100 worth of stationery, just in time for the new school year.

Lianne Fletcher from Maped Helix, said: “The videos we received were all brilliant and they certainly brightened up our day. Beatrice’s love of stationery shone through and we were blown away by her creativity.”
