A COUPLE celebrating their diamond wedding anniversary say the key to a successful and long-lasting relationship is ‘sharing’.

Studley residents Clive and Margaret Andrew will toast 60 fantastic years on February 27.

The loved-up couple, who have four daughters, 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, tied the knot in 1960 three years after they met at a dance.

The pair would regularly meet for a boogie in Marble Alley and at Alcester Town Hall.

Margaret, aged 78, said: “We’re a bit surprised that we’ve got this far as Clive’s health hasn’t been the best recently but everyday we’re with each other is a bonus.

“Everything is equal in our marriage and I believe that is why it has lasted as long as it has.

“What’s mine is his and what’s his is mine.

“We’ve very proud to reach this milestone and we are very thankful for our wonderful family who we see often.”

To celebrate the big occasions daughters Donna, Susan, Vicky and Jacqui have booked their parents to stay at Studley Castle.

They have also requested a wedding card from the Queen which is expected to arrive next week.

The siblings said they are over-the-moon for their parents as it’s a ‘huge achievement in this day and age’.

Jacqui said: “They have always been a huge part of our lives and have sacrificed so much for us.

“We think they are wonderful.”
