COUNCIL staff leapt into action after they received a rallying call from borough Councillor Joe Baker.
A street engagement exercise by the Labour representative for Woodrow and Greenlands had turned up complaints of fly tipping and litter around the Pedmore Close area of Woodrow.
“I contacted the environment team and organised for a massive litter pick,” said Coun Baker.
“They came down with a tractor and trailer and set to work – we got a new bin installed on the walkway from the school.
“I want to say a big thank you to all our environment staff who work so hard to keep our areas clean.. They’re out there doing a great job – and thank you also for the new bin.”
