A New Year message from Redditch Borough Council Leader Matt Dormer:
“WELL 2020 is nearly upon us and I have to say we are ready to take it on.
We have already had a productive year and proved we are not afraid to make difficult decisions.
In fact we have taken the time to take stock of the Council’s outgoings, essentially the public purse, and review where money is not being spent as wisely as it could be.
Again, we face some difficult decisions but also some great projects to look forward to.
We are bidding for Town Centre Funds from Central Government, which could see millions of pounds invested in our town centre.
We have exciting 5G Broadband news to look forward to and, more imminently, the first draw of our Redditch Community Lottery will be taking place later this month!
I am confident that by working together, to unlock Redditch, this Council can realise its full potential which will benefit everyone who lives and works here and will attract more people to do just that.
So, I want to wish you all very happy New Year and I look forward to making this journey into 2020 together.“
