COLLABRO star Michael Auger is to take the title role in this year’s magical family pantomime, Aladdin at the Palace Theatre in Redditch.
One of the world’s most successful Musical Theatre groups, the Collabro boys met for their first rehearsal only one month before going on to wow the Britain’s Got Talent judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams at their first round audition at London’s Hammersmith Apollo.
Collabro went on to win the Eighth series of Britain’s Got Talent with one of the highest majorities in the show’s history.
Millions of captivated viewers watched them claim their prize, performing in front of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at the 2014 Royal Variety Performance at the London Palladium.
Pantomime producer Paul Holman said; “Michael is the perfect choice for cheeky chappy Aladdin. With his good looks, charisma and breathtakingly beautiful voice, the audience will be cheering him on in this action-packed adventure.”
Michael joins star of Strictly Come Dancing, Robin Windsor, who will be granting Aladdin’s three wishes as the Genie.
Aladdin runs at Redditch Palace Theatre from Monday, December 10 2018 to Sunday, January 6, 2019.
