IT’S freezing in Redditch, but spare a thought for people fleeing war in Syria and stuck in refugee camps in France, Greece and in the Balkans.
This Saturday, March 3, a clothing collection is being held at The Bridge Church (St Lukes) at Headless Cross to help those desperately in need through no fault of their own.
Warm clothes, shoes, blankets and sleeping bags are desperately needed as well as toiletries and so on.
The event has been organised by the Malvern-based charity People in Motion and donated goods will go that very day to a depot to be dispatched to those in need.
The collection runs from 2-4pm and limited parking is available at the church or outside on Evesham Road.
