A 19-YEAR-OLD woman has been involved in an accident when the car she was driving – a black Renault Clio – hit a lamppost on the A441 this morning (Tuesday), towards Redditch town centre.

The incident happened at the bottom of the Southcrest and Lodge Park exit off the Bromsgrove Highway and although the road is not closed, traffic is building up as a recovery vehicle attempts to move the damaged car.

Paramedics were called to the scene at 8.24am where an ambulance crew remained for around 20 minutes.

A spokesperson for the West Midlands Ambulance Service said the driver was checked over at the scene and discharged.
